Contracted vs Cash Pay

If we are only contracted with one insurance (Medicaid,) and no commercial insurances at all, are we able to set our cash pay rate for everyone else that is not covered by Medicaid at any rate?

For example, if Medicaid would reimburse us $250.00 on a code, does our cash pay price have to be the same? Or can it be 10%, 20% 50% etc.?

I am thinking since we aren’t contracted with any other insurance companies, we can set the cash pay price at whatever, especially since we wouldn’t be billing Medicaid patients at this cash pay rate. But we just want to be sure we aren’t breaking any rules, or violating any Medicaid standards.

Thank you!
